Welcome to GHARC

Grays Harbor Amateur Radio Club (GHARC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to Amateur Radio. We provide technical support, training, and VE lead license testing for all levels of Amateur Radio enthusiasts.

Business meetings are held at 7:00PM local time on the first Thursday of each month in the Hoquiam Public Library's first floor meeting room located nearest their parking lot.

VE lead licensing tests immediately follow the business meeting. Please preschedule testing with: Les N7GH.

Auxiliary events and training are scheduled as appropriate in convenient locations throughout the community.

HAM Radio License Manual Revised 2^nd Edition
FCC Rules and Regulations for the Amateur Radio Service

This is conventional style class and will cover the entire book.

Cost for the class: books 31 USD and 12 USD use fee the the building. There will be a standard ARRL licensing fee of 15 USD to test on the last day of class.

This is a compressed class, but covers all chapters in the Licensing Manual. Please have your own book and pre-read chapters 1-3 before the class begins on May 12. Be prepared each week to discuss and ask questions about the assigned material. I will start assuming that you have read the first 3 chapters.

The class is free, but you must purchase your own books and there is a standard ARRL licensing fee of 15 USD to test on the last day of class.
